#whsfridayfact Notable alumni - Duncan Goodhew MBE (OWL '70) Duncan may have gained some of his swimming talents whilst swimming in our old pool! After swimming competitively in America as a collegian at North Carolina State University, he was an Olympic swimmer for Great Britain and won Olympic gold and bronze medals at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. He also swam at the 1976 Summer Olympics.
