Whist the maintenance costs of the School's facilities are covered in current pupil school fees, enhancing them can, at times, require additional funding and support.
These enhancements or added extras are essential to us remaining competitive in todays independent school market and by investing in our continual development programme we will ensure that Windlesham House remains one of the best Prep schools in the country.
Our current pupils are benefitting from the generosity and support of previous parents and OWLs and we hope that, at some point in their future will be in the position to do the same, giving back to the community they started their education journey with.

Founded on 30 January in 1837, Windlesham House is the oldest prep school in the UK and has been providing an outstanding continuity of education ever since. The legacy of Lieutenant Charles Malden and generations of the Malden family until 1994 lives on today. Of utmost importance is the care and wellbeing of children at the school, ensuring they enjoy a traditional childhood. We are fortunate to benefit from the careful stewardship of generations past and would like to invite alumni to support this vision and the welfare of future generations of Windlesham House pupils by joining ‘The 1837 Society’ - our regular giving campaign.
Through The 1837 Society, we are asking Windlesham House alumni to make a difference to the school’s future success by supporting the values and vision of the school. The campaign encourages regular monthly gifts to our bursary fund.
As a member of the 1837 Society, you will receive regular updates and be invited to an annual 1837 Society members’ event. We know that Windlesham House has played a hugely significant part in thousands of lives and we are grateful for your continued support.
The Malden Family Theatre was built in 1988 through the generosity of many donors from the Windlesham House community, to commemorate the 150 year anniversary of the School. During those 150 years the Heads were all members of the Malden family. For the last 35 years this fantastic facility has been a well used asset of Windlesham House hosting lessons, pupil productions, dinners, presentations and parental events. We have recently repainted the foyer, updated the lighting in the auditorium and replaced the projector screen and sound equipment in an ongoing project of renovation.
The next essential part of this project was to replace the seating and in the process we are offering the opportunity to have a lasting legacy in the form of a seat plaque assigned to one of the new seats.

The stained glass windows of the All Saints' chapel are in need of refurbishment at a cost of £36,000. These windows are exposed to all weathers and consequently the framework supporting them is worn and leaking. Each of the 3 windows has 2 panels, all of which need repair and attention.
If the chapel was a place of peace and enjoyment for you whilst you were at the school please consider using your donation to this much needed fund.
Thank you!
The Windlesham Ongoing Development Fund gratefully receives unrestricted donations that can be used for small scale projects at the School. The donations are used where the immediate need is greatest and are at the discretion of the Bursar and the Head.
Any donation no matter how large or small are greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
