All Saints' Chapel Refurbishment

Why We Need Your Support

In 1896, the then Heads, the first Mr and Mrs Charles, were visiting Oxford and discovered that St Martin’s Church at Carfax was being demolished. With Windlesham in need of a Chapel, they stopped the demolition and brought as much of the Chapel as possible back to Sussex. Most of the remainder of the building was re-erected in Brighton, where it was re-dedicated in 1897 as All Saints’ Chapel. That Chapel moved again with the school in 1913 and once more in 1934 to its final location where it can be found at the heart of the Windlesham of today.

The stained glass windows on the west, which are exposed to the elements, now require refurbishment at a cost of £6k per pane. There are 2 panes per window; therefore, the total cost of this work will amount to £36k. We would very much appreciate your support to help raise funds to repair our beautiful Chapel windows. If you would like more information, please contact:

Our Chapel is 123 years old. Let us see if we can help it survive another 123 years for future Windlesham families to enjoy and cherish this beautiful building.

Can we crowd fund this refurbishment?

A minimum donation of £36 from 1000 alumni is all we need to reach our target.

Thank you for your support.

Enhancing the facilities at Windlesham is crucial to our success

The Windlesham Foundation

Our vision is to ensure that Windlesham House School remains one of the country’s happiest, most inspirational and innovative prep schools. The aim of our Foundation is to deliver opportunities and new facilities to children via fundraising.

We have benefited over the years from the foresight and generosity of our predecessors and former parents who made possible many of the facilities that our children enjoy today as well as the ongoing raising of funds for Scholarships and Bursaries allowing a new generation of children to benefit from a Windlesham education. While the academic curriculum is at the core of what we do, sports and co-curricular activities develop our children’s independence and co-operation, greatly supporting their learning in the classroom. There is no doubt that having the right facilities in place is key to this. The Foundation has raised funds for vital works at the School, including the building of the new astro turf, which opened in 2014 and our wonderful new Sports Complex which opened in March 2018.
