Who remembers playing this game? A traditional Windlesham pastime, which was played by the older years in the school. It used to be played on the old back pitch (the field beyond he girl’s wing). The person standing on the hill, hit a tennis ball high into the air. A group gather at the place where the ball will land, all with high hopes that the will catch the ball. When it has been caught the person who caught it tries to run all the way to the hitter, if he can touch him he becomes the hitter. However, on the way up all of the other children do their best to tackle the person with the ball. Sadly this is no longer a game played at Windlesham, possibility because of all the accidents and broken bones it caused!
