Every Sunday, before Chapel, Mr Charles would inspect all the children’s shoes. Every child would line up in Harrow, in their Sunday best while he would walk up and down the lines checking each child’s shoes to ensure they were polished and presentable. From there everyone would file, silently into the Chapel for the Sunday Service.
