#whsfridayfact Green Team Initiative

The whole school had a tree planting ceremony, last Tuesday, 26th March. Everyone helped plant the 420 saplings donated by the The Woodland Trust as part of their free trees for schools and communities project. Our saplings are hazel, blackthorn, crab apple, dog rose, elder and rowan. These trees and shrubs will create homes for wildlife, provide shelter and shade, provide beautiful autumn colour and produce a wild harvest for all to enjoy.
