What better way to kick start the OWLs events again than with a beautiful carol service in the Windlesham chapel where many of you have spent such time.
Greeted perfectly by our Head Boy, our OWLS took their seats in the candlelit chapel that seemed so much bigger when they were here as children.
Voices from both the Windlesham choir and the congregation were in fine form singing all the classic carols with gusto. Present staff members told the Christmas story intermingled with performances from the children and parents in the choir, perfectly conducted by our musical director Richard Fitt.
Windlesham chapel’s magnificent organ rang out to the delight of our returning OWLs and their guests.
OWLs from many decades attended with their family members and reminisced over mulled wine and mince pies after the service, many didn’t know each other but had common stories to share with past and present staff members, making new friends and all of whom were happy to have returned to the school they hold dear to their hearts.
We hope to build on this event to incorporate OWLS taking part next year for readings and musical performances so please do get in touch if you would like to be included.
