An Evening of Cricket Talk with Michael Atherton and Clare Connor

We are delighted to announce that tickets are now available for An Evening of Cricket Talk.  Michael Atherton and Clare Connor, two former England Cricket Captains, will be joining us at Windlesham along with Johnny Barclay, Director of Cricket and former Captain of Sussex and Past President of MCC, for a Drinks Reception followed by Q&A.

The evening will support the Arundel Castle Cricket Foundation who bring disadvantaged children from inner city areas out to the West Sussex countryside and the beautiful Arundel Castle cricket ground.  Many of the youngsters have special needs: some are blind or deaf; others have educational, physical and emotional problems.  The aim is to give them new skills, greater confidence and some fun.

It is quite a coup to say the least, that two of England’s former Cricket Captains are giving up their time for this event, especially given the onset of the Mens’ Cricket World Cup and the build up to the Ashes.

I very much hope the event will attract considerable interest from present and past parents.  Friends and relatives are most welcome, so do spread the word.  Understandably, tickets are limited, so will be sold on a first come, first served basis.
