Whfridayfact  Pill Box - Near Windlesham
We are not sure exactly where, but there is a surviving World War Two pill box on the South Downs at Washington in West Sussex. It was built by the Canadian Armed Forces during their time at our school, before going out for D Day and was in fact an experimental design having been clad in steel sheets and tarmac/bitumen to protect the structure from bomb damage. Can any of your remember seeing it?
